a quote from a movie that i forget the title of i think its "in the world of women" anyways, that quote had an impact on me so i wrote it down in the back of my sketch book (like i do when I find a quote that I love) and I drew this for it. The quote is perfect, it is completely true.

so anyways about the work, I decided on this design because I thought it was a good way of showing that there will always be something that will bother you but You dont have to let it get to you, you can let it close in and become lost in it, or you can fight it and do the best you can to keep the evils of the world away.
in the picture you can look at in a few ways, are the faces in the Darkness (fear, pressure, stress, whatever connects to you the most) closing in on them? or is the Darkness just waiting? is it surrounding them? or is it a glow of light? who is the one comforting the other is the boy comforting the girl or is she comforting him, or is it an equal amount of fear yet they hold each other through it. Or are they bracing for the Darkness to hit.

Personally I see it as the Darkness was attacking but was stopped and cant proceed can only threaten. and I believe that they are equally scared but they aren't letting it get to them they are just doing their best to help the other
